Majima would show up as a regular student, with occasional absences for Some Bullshit. He's intelligent, but he's also from 1988 and not actually a construction worker or anything.
FWIW, he's a potentially frustrating student as if classes aren't engaging, he'll get bored after about 30 minutes. He can also display implicit understanding of fairly complex wiring, but only when he concentrates, and he either cannot or will not explain why he knows how to fix/break the thing. (Try asking him sometime, it's terrible.)
Feel free to assume that Majima's exploring on the regular and handing Tony whatever batteries or electronics or whatever other stuff he doesn't personally need; he does not particularly keep track.
